Golden Hour Counseling exists to create radically accepting, open-minded and nonjudgemental space for LGBTQIA+, creatives, marginalized folks, questioners, over-achievers, people pleasers, & humans who struggle with feeling seen. Our Approach
You deserve a space where you don’t have to worry about being judged. Please come as you are, don’t be afraid to share your embarrassing stories, or the red flags you may have ignored in your last relationship. Get comfortable and let yourself be a human.
You deserve a therapist who pays attention. Who remembers your story, your dog’s name, and most importantly what you are wanting to work towards. Sessions will be interactive, and designed to take you deeper -not just hold space to complain or vent about work or your mother in law.
You deserve feedback on your life. After all, isn’t the reason you’re coming to therapy to get support? You will find help that is honest enough to tell you where you are contributing to your own unhappiness, without criticism or judgement. No blank stares with robotic, canned responses.
You deserve tangible growth. Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and income. Because we take that investment seriously, we offer next steps to practice, ideas to dig deeper into, or resources like podcasts to learn from between sessions. We also ask that all clients have a space to take notes during or between sessions to capture their experience, insights, and wins.

Golden Hour
The moment just before the sun sets, it illuminates the world with a soft, hazy glow. It emits this feeling of possibility -it feels intrinsically sacred. It’s a moment I’ve often found myself reflecting on where I’ve been and where I’m going. A moment enveloped in light, calling us to the present, and painted with hope. This is how we see therapy. An invitation to look back, recalibrate, and decide where we would like to go from here.

Sign your consent forms and give us a little bit more detail about your life and your goals so we’ll be prepared for session 1.
